The different colors were produced in layers by creating a reduction print with linoleum. I first cut away the white to print light blue. Then I cut away everything I wanted to remain light blue and printed the dark blue.
This is my attempt at a loose watercolor landscape. I used a lot of pooling of pigments in the background trees and more thought out brushwork in the foreground.
This was an experimental watercolor piece with pooling colors and using plastic wrap to create visual texture. The result was then enhanced with watercolor and watercolor pencils. The sounds represented are all sounds that I find soothing - breathing in and out, waves gently rushing in and falling back out, and birds chirping.
